Default MySpace Allows 70,000 spam accounts

Can anyone shed some light as to why MySpace doesen't address a block of 70,000 accounts chock full of spammers?

User ids 1003252000-1003322000
Seems it would be easy to remove the spam profiles within a specified field. Especially considering they are directing users to adult content(porn).
