very serious criminal spam

Hi everyone

I have a wordpress blog that has been receiving a copious amount of spam. Most of it, I have been able to filter out, but one in particular was rather disturbing....
Some sick f#$% posted a comment with links to rape videos. The IP Address logged was IP: 219.93.178.162 , cdn-kmr-c2100-01.tm.net.my
I doubt the individual would be stupid enough to use a static IP Address, so I don't know what there is to do. Most spam, I will happily delete & forget, but a message like that needs to be reported to authorities or something shouldn't it?
What can I do to catch these disturbed people?

Well, that IP is from Malaysia. You could block the IP, or the ISP through .htaccess. You could try sending an abuse complaint to the ISP, but I doubt that would achieve much for that country.

There are reporting agencies for such spam. A list of them can be found in this thread.

Spam like that REALLY needs to be reported. Please take the time to report it. Millions of people will be grateful!!

Thanks so much wenwilder...I'll definately take the time...if only I could get my hands on those sick bastards.

incrediblehelp...it's a default wordpress installation. All I've changed is the aesthetics. I've just been using the comment blacklist tool to control the spam problem. Can you suggest a particular plugin that you feel works well?

I found that I actually had the aksimet plugin, but it wasn't activated. Now it is, so I hope that frees up some of my time.

I reported the sicko, and if I get any feedback, I'll let you all know.
