Define what you mean by a "proxy site", and what you're ultimately trying to accomplish.

As far as I know, you can use it from anywhere since it's a hosted e-commerce solution. You just need to pass them some preliminary info via form post and away you go.

Pakistan is not in their authorised country list. I asked a US resident friend to open an account with them which he did. I have been asking him to help me with some domain name transactions but the payment gets late most of the time. I was thinking if I could use a proxy to manage that account on my own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Get a US mail forwarding address that will forward stuff to you in Pakistan (if your post office will work with the States to set one up).

Then set up a PayPal account with the US address and your credit card/bank account info.

Once the account is verified, away you go.

Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Account is already setup with my friends name, address and bank account. I only want to manage it myself and do daily/weekly transactions myself.

I was looking on other forums and some one said that you can access paypal through a public proxy but it is against their TOS and they will suspend the account as soon as they found the proxy. I was thinking of setting up some proxy script on one of my own sites and do not open it for public. This way I might not get caught.

Some one has posted another suggestion of using a long distance dial-up internet connection to access paypal. I like this idea, long distance international calls are so cheap these days so I will check this out.

Thanks!
