Would really appreciate your help.
This AM booted up as normal. Checked mail, no problem. Went to www.msn.co.uk to check SERPs (it's one I keep an eye on). Problems accessing it (flash movie wouldn't download completely), re-booted. Next thing I know Outlook Express inbox is empty completely) losing approx 40 mails (though subfolders still okay). Can't receive mails, tho' can still read them on server, error message, "An Outlook Express store file may be damaged. Please use a utility such as ScanDisk to verify and repair any damaged files. Account: 'admin@sochoose.com', Server: 'mail.sochoose.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C0155" Any ideas as to what may have happened. Have used Ad-aware, hijackthis and have avast! antivirus. Could really use retrieving these emails! Thanks pne

I am not sure what the error message is about. Do you have some sort of sochoose.com account?
Can you load flash now? All I can suggest is to try to re-install OE. The following article at pcmag may be of assistance. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1561703,00.asp Quote:
Are you running WindowsXP? Or another version? It may be virus damage, but these symtoms do not sound familiar to me. One other thought just occured. I have heard that Microsoft - MSN, is going to start charging for downloading messages from hotmail accounts. I wonder. They would make notifications, though. That doesn't quite make sense as an answer. |
