Mike you're always twenty steps a head of me, but keep the information coming! :)
On another note - wclew (Dennis) created a poster for the scam fighters revolution and..... I forgot to add the link. He was gracious enough to remind me in the politest of ways. Thank you again Dennis, I still feel bad though. :(
Here is his contribution: Scam Alert
There is still a lot to do, but everyone has made it so much easier and more fun. Thank you!
More posters/flyers still need to be created. I have a lot of information and I've attempted to organize it. I have all the information in one word document - the next step is dividing it into the seperate catagories, seperate documents.
The FTC has pamphlets already made on the majority of the subjects and I'll be contacting them to inquire about cost.
I'm still looking for volunteers willing to invest time - any willing participants?

Thank you Wynn, you didn't need to do that. I thought you could just quietly edit your other post and add that one to it. ;o)
Mine was pretty forgettable compared to your others. ;o) lol. But, I've still got another idea that will involve some artistry. I'll try to do it soon.

Mike you changed your picture! When did you do that? It was probably while I wasn't looking huh? ;)
Since you two are volunteering..... :)
How about each of you picking one subject? Then I'll help you find something to do with it :)

Are you guys ready for this? :)
What I really need right now is:
3 posters per topic (My artist left me, moved and my artistic talent revolves around clip art)
Willingness to print out and hang posters and/or flyers.
Willingness to hand out pamphlets on the following topics:
ID Theft
ID Theft: What's it all about?
ID Theft: When bad things happen to your good name
Everything else!
All Email Users: What you need to know about chain emails and letters
Dialing up the Internet: How to stay safe online
Dot Cons: FTC's Top 10 Dot Cons
Computers for next to nothing: What's the deal?
FTC Names it's dirty dozen: 12 Scams most likely to arrive via bulk email
How not to get hooked by 'Phishing' Scams
How to be web ready
Safe at any speed: How to stay safe online if you use high-speed internet access
The Nigerian Scam: Costly Compassion
What's Dot and What's Not: Domain Name Registration Scams
When Your Computer Calls Overseas ...Without Your Okay
What's In Your In-box?
Who's Spamming Who? Could it Be You?
- you can either print them out (pdf file) or order them. Don't panic, the pamphlets are free.
After that - there's web page design and graphics. Let me know what you'd love to do. And if this isn't enough, I can think of more :)

Wynn,
I'd be glad to help hang up posters and pass out flyers. I kind of live in a small one-horse town area, but could ask friends to help widen the coverage.
Otherwise, I'd probably be better equiped to help with the web page design and graphics. Let me know.

What format do you want the posters in?
.doc, TIFF, any graphics or document format in particular?
I have three bulliten boards here all set for use, a chain grocery store, local laundromat - which is also a cyber bar!, and my gym, Golds, no less, (connections international??? We'll see, okay?)
I will get to some of this after a couple of projects are dealt with here, no more than a couple of days.
Critical thinking and internet/computer security...
You are awesome, wenwilder, and you to wclew
:o)

Posters can be in doc, tiff, or pdf.
The web site design is already done, for the moment. Perhaps at a later date it will have it's own domain and will need a whole site developed - for the moment though it's just being added to an existing site or sites.
Anyone have a good name for this project? I'm getting a bit tired of referring to it as "The Poster Campaign" :)
The blonde in me forgot that I do have a program that creates flyers and I think posters. So, I'm going to experiment with that this afternoon. I'm almost positive I remember how to use the program. If anyone hears a scream it's just me getting frustrated :)
Graphics of any size depicting(sp) scams, phishing, spoofing, adware, spyware, etc, etc, etc. would be a huge help. One for each subject 158x168 pixels would be even better. But anything works ;)
Basically a lot of information has been gathered, now it is time to do something with it! :)
