You might have more luck if you bundle your marketing package to include all forms of media, not just the web. Set up your domain to carry that message clearly and with competitive terms and do like everyone else: promote.
As for selling on this or any other similar forum, well, you're trying to sell apples to an orchard owner. We're fellow members. You may be in a good position to collaborate. Perhaps offer to team up with your peers on a joint project of some sort. Collaboration is a great way to get your name out there. |

If the link I saw really is your own portfolio (Professional Banner Designs Portfolio By DecentBanners) and the price list is accurate, then anyone who thinks you're too expensive is just not a serious business person. Put a little more effort into your SEO (title tags and on page copy)
You're biggest mistake is promoting at webmaster forums. Go lurk around forums where NOBODY has your skills. If I was a gourmet chef I certainly would promote my services on a gourmet chef forum. Go hang out where you are unique. |

In this case, promote to an audience who needs you and doesn't really have any ability to design. Think specific markets...restaurants, toy stores, crafters. Really any of these directories might work. Offer the directory a banner for an ad. You never know what will work until you try

I agree with the posts above.
There are sites such as Guru.com where companies go to look for designers and specialty services such as yours. You may do well to check them out. Also, as Weegillis says, you should think about partnering with others who offer related design services but might be looking to outsource some of this type of work. |

Conversely, it may have been the wisest of all choices. Direction, and the ability to alter course is, after all, everything.
