yesterday 47.000 today even more......since 2 days I get visitors from Italy and not via Search Engine all via a deeplink: www.sky-tours.com/?lang=it&login=672125 We do not have such a login why of course the Italian language index page is shown.
It looks that non of the visitors where looking for our site as we have a 98% bounce rate and an average of 10-16 second on site..... Is it good ? is this evil? so far our server resists but he has allot of work. What do you suggest I should do ? being happy with so many useless visitors or should I stop it. sending this deeplink to a hot place? |

Thanks for the messages so far, they are coming different IP addresses and from all cities all over Italy, but looks like the are all individuals clicking on a deeplink who does not exist and therefore they get our index page..... It seems they do not look for travel they look maybe for something totally different.... but they are certainly attracted to click on that link. Now Google analytics says for Feb 4 61465 visitors and its not the end of the day.
I can't give them what they want to see as long i do no know what they click on |

Unless the page that is sending you the traffic is password protected, you should be able to find it through Analytics. If you go into your site, and Click "Content" and then "Top Content", you should see the page listed. Click on the page URL in the list (if it is not there, click any page in the list, and below the graph there will be a pulldown labeled as "Content". Click that, and enter the page URI (the portion after the domain name) and click "Search". This will take you to the information about the page in question.)
Once you have the page statistics displayed in Analytics, under Landing Page Optimization, click "Entrance Sources". This gives you just a list of domains that the incoming traffic came from. Note the number of visits for the top three listings here. Now, go to "Traffic Sources" on the left navigation menu, and then click "Referring Sites". This will give you a list of the domains sending traffic to your site. Click the link for the domain that gave you the most traffic to the page in question, and you will get a list of pages on that site which link to you. This is kind of a roundabout way of getting this information, but with this procedure you will be able to get a list of links and you should be able to get an idea of the context of the incoming link to redirect users to the appropriate content. Note that if you click a specific page in the list, there will be a link in Analytics to visit that referring page.
