Internet Use gone down.....

The overall internet use has gone down since the beginning of summer according to averaging out statistics of third party nominal sources. This is a direct result of the increased gas price in the USA and the loss of internet service. If you notice as well, the internet service isn't growing at such grand rates as "the gold days of technology"

When will it turn around? Are you feeling the impact or is your site still growing?

naah, I think people are just busy going to spring break parties and watching T.V. for the election...lol.. just kidding. well, if the number of internet users are falling, guess i am still a bit lucky because on the daily basis, my sites traffic would either maintain or grow its number.

The stats showing the number of people in the world keep going up tho. So I am not worried about usage numbers. Probably just a fluke. 6 mo. those numbers will be back up.

Fluctuations in Internet usage can be contributed to a number of factors.

With spending down as budgets tighten, less and less people are getting online to purchase.

In the same tone, fewer people are starting their own business and so much of the research they would use the web for has declined.

There is an international tone of depression and fear, so people avoid information. News and media ratings have affected these trends.

I believe we are going to have to wait for an economic upswing or radical change to see the percentage of growth that we have experienced in the past.
