Why is the internet starting to really suck?
When I first started using the internet, a hell of a long time ago, there were never any problems at all that I can remember anyway. Now there is a never a day that I don't get online and there is some new problem I have to worry about.
Item No 1. I did not give you permission to link to my website! You link to someones website and you are in the shit. Now I have to ask permission before I put anyones link on my websites.
Item No 2. That 3 sentences on your website were written by me 5 years ago! Well guess what dude, I wrote that myself or maybe it is that great minds think alike! How can you claim copyright to 3 sentences. And I won't even get into bloggers that are claiming ownership to blog comments. What a load of shit.
Item No 3. I gave my ebook away for free usage to everyone, but it has done so well that I am going to publish it. So withdraw my ebook from your website or I am going to take you to court. Again what a load of shit.
Item No 4. You used a quote and acknowledged its complete source, however I own it. Pay me a royality to use it or I am going to sue you.
Hey I could go on forever, what a nightmare. It seems to me that the internet has taken on a American approach, where I own everything and it all belongs to me. What the hell happened to the true purpose of the internet as an information source.
Maybe the net should be divided into 2 parts. Where one side is for business and we won't ever have to visit, link or think of them ever again. And the other side is for the true purpose of the internet, information.
Sure I sell online mostly through affiliate based links and I do this as a funding source to simply keep my websites running. However with all the hoo har online you would think that everyone is making millions of dollars, with a build it and they will come attitude. Whereas I am certain you all know is far from the truth.
Even the biggest of companies find it tough to do business online, it is not the goldmine that they think it is and it seems to be the ones who are losing the money are the ones who are kicking up the stink most of the time. Maybe they should just come to the realization that there is no such thing as a quick buck. So piss off I don't want to ask you for permission to link anymore!
