I bought a camera from a seller on eBay recently. Paid by cheque, he then 'did a runner' - with the money from me and 27 other unfortunates.

I lost £325.00. The MAX compenstaino from eBay is £105.00 - and that is difficult to get.

The police are now investigating and a TV programme is interested.

Bottom line - pay by credit card and don't expect eBay to help if you lose out.
