Meanwhile, back in France, French publishers are suing Google because of the book scanning. Part of the lawsuit complains that the way in which Google displays book snippets with ragged torn pages makes it look like their work is "one step from the trash can."

does anyone know just how many lawsuits Google is currently litigating? Seems like it's in the hundreds, at least. No doubt there will be more as it seems every google page now enjoys a PR10... How can that be, I wonder... Me thinks, that a free, web based email login wholeheartedly deserves a PR10. No cultural abnormalities there.
