Marketing And Marketeering
""The definition of marketeer is; a person who sells goods or services in a market. Now with that in hand, your website is a MARKETPLACE. The definition of marketplace is; a competitive or commercial arena. How does that grab you? A competitive or commercial arena is why you need to have a website that stands out from the crowd..."" by Anthony Parsons,WebPronews article dated january 14,2004.
The Internet Industry Is Information Based
I been driving this point home for some time now. In Mr Parson's article he outlines the importance of information being the most valuable asset of a website that drives the existence of any internet business.
Information management is a vital aspect of any business online or offline and the rules that governs the way data is manipulated, processed and delivered as information still applies to the internet business industry. I must hasten to apologise that there is no exception to this rule.
No Internet Marketing Secret
Sadly this is exactly the case for those of us who have thrown our money at the enlightened class of internet marketing gurus who claim to know everything everydody else doesn't know. These "magical elements" have been fed our cash over and over again and still yet the whole truth has never been told.
Let me repeat :"There is no internet marketing secret." In agreeing with Mr Parson, we need to obtain and deliver quality information which is relevant to the product or service we intend to make a profit from.
Think again, How far have we come along since the Industrial Revolution ? This enhancement to the existence of mankind was due to innovators who gathered information on how things just might work differently. To innovate we gather information on whatever is currently in existence and brainstorm ways of improving existing services and products.
Just think, what information would I need to make live easier for everyone else and if found how can I profit from providing such to the population at large?
Internet Marketing Gurus Are Geniuses
Internet marketing gurus possess information they believe you don't have but is seen valuable enough to incur a cost in obtaining.
There is a "C" in A.C.C.U.R.A.T.E information that means cost effective i.e the Cost in acquiring such information should never exceed the benefit to be had.
Management Information
Management information means any useful and worthwhile information that will assist in making the right decision, improve control procedures and do the right things the right way.
Internet industry entrepreneurs have the responsibility to continue improving on the information quality of their websites, service and products and there is no better way to do so that than to give due consideration to all the stakeholders involved.
