Default Mass emailing may have gotten on spam list.

I resently emailed my former customers and wesite subscribers. I also added a link at the buttom of all the emails for people to remove themselves from any future emails.

Well now it seems any emails to yahoo and comcast are bouncing back. Some of them mention I am on a spam list. The company that hosts my sites is none to happy since all sites he is hosting on the same server are also bouncing back.

Any way to handle this?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Welcome to the hell that is the vigilante black hole list.. There is almost no way to get off of those since there is no one person or company you can go to to contest the black hole..

Ask Yahoo and Comcast which list they are using that you got put on and work backwards from there to try to get off..

My guess is that your ISP will have to boot you from their network to get off of the list.. It sucks but he has to do whatever it takes to clear up his IP range.. You can move to another host and the problem will most likely go away almost instantly since they tend to black hole IP ranges and not URLs.. That's why your ISP is getting blocked now.. Nice guys..

Unless you have a litany of lawyers and lobbyists to throw at them, there's really nothing you CAN do.

Sorry pal. Maybe constantly barrage them with e-mails about the situation. Or call them.

Good luck.

I just saw this, bit late I know. I ran into that a couple of weeks ago, not my URL, but someone else via the ISP, so my emails to a potential supplier were blocked after the first one. I emailed his host, who said to contact my ISP to get the baddie off. The ISP is Bellsouth. How many zillion URLs do they (and the host is some tiny outfit in - get this - New Guinea!) Of course, he couldn't tell me who the baddie was. Getting no satisfaction - his host simply said they subscibe to the list, end of story, I simply called the potential supplier, told him I couldn't work with them as I couldn't email them because their host is stupid. It's costing him, not me.
