Hell no. Too many people rely on it too much for commercial reasons.

I just don't think thats gonna happen.

10 years ago - probably, but it has evolved since then and I reckon it will continue to evolve.

You ain't seen nothing yet (as the song goes).

Default Life cycle

Everything has a life cycle. Something will come along that will pressure the internet and change the way it works.

Essentially, at the moment, we just can't see what it is. But its likely to involve mobile technology.

Default Internet won't die

What I think is everything has a cycle and there is an expriy date for it.

For the case of internet I think it won't die but some new technology which will be challenging internet and we all have to be updated with that technology to survive.

Regards
Macin

Internet is changing fast, it will continue to change fast in near future, so it will be very different say 5 years from, so different that you might as well say that internet which used to exist 10 or 15 years ago is dead.

Even today, I recall, most of the web sites that existed in 1996 are dead. (remember go, goto, infoseek....)

What I fear most is that will I be able to keep pace with the change, bcoz, otherwise my web sites will be dead...

Don't think it's gonna happen. Too many people depend on it to communicate, do business, get information, play...download a life...Something much better would have to come along that would serve all those purposes. I just don't see that happening.

What possibly do you think it could be? I think the internet will eventually get faster and faster and faster, which will allow us to do more things like video messaging for example of cel phones and things of that sort.. i think instant video will be much more clear and not so sketchy looking.

but whoa.., if the internet was destroyed i dont know what i'd do because ive basically planed my future around it. i'm always trying to think of the next best website that will be of great use.

internet is great invent, but...
after internet will be something better!!!
Yeah!
internet right now is a big store of diff infomation, but it has no construction. so until some one will put it in order then there is some hope for internet.
but i think something new gonna be in a while!!!
lets wait and use internet for now.
peace.

In the next 5-10 years Internet wil be as good (bad) as it is today.

In the future just a bit faster and a bit usable.

Only if there is WW3 or an alien invasion well then tha I-net will definitly die.

but again (if there are humans) it will reborn as a phoenix from the ash.

Default The Internet....

What a wonder it is! I have learned many things about the internet over the past few years.

The internet was built by hackers. Yes hackers. Hackers are ethical people who love to build things. The internet runs on the unix system. It is very vast. As large as the world. Who knows maybe even beyond that, but I have yet to meet an alien being on it!

No, the world wide web is here to stay. It keeps growing and changing all the time. You always see new things on it. Things invented for computers. Voip will be big. At least I think so. They will find ways around those nasty cell companies. The technology schools are ever abounding with new science and technology. When was the last time you heard of science just not being there? The internet is but one phase of computer technology. It's usefulness is just too much a part of todays life to just think of it never being here. E-mail, information, communication between companies and people, and maybe some of those green things in space, entertainment, news, gadgets, you name it! It's all here and it is not going away. As long as people know how to use their computers, you will hve internet.

Maybe biju is thinking about the perspective of "what goes up, goes down" or maybe he is thinking even the dinosaurs who are big and ferocious even became fossils.

Who knows what will happen in the future. But as we see in the world today, the internet will just be around for many years and if ever it will die out, there will be another "way" - more innovative and more advanced - than our internet does today.
