Default I have questions regarding ebusiness.

I am interested in having a website. But I dont know anyone personally who has a website to ask them questions. I am interested in having a website that is linked to other websites that sell merchandise or whatever and advertise my website and then get paid for the traffic i give them. I assume this is the way a lot of people do online business but i am not sure.can anyone give me advise on this.I want to know if it would even be worth my time.

it seems you are looking to earn affiliate commissions by referring other products and services, a good place to start is Commission Junction http://cj.com

Good Luck,

The one main thing I would suggest is build your website around a topic that you're familiar with, a hobby perhaps. And put lots of useful information.

Then you can insert affiliate-type ads around it.
Just putting up a website full of affiliate links will not necessarily earn you much money.

Default Sell someone else's products

I'm not sure exactly what nature of business you had in mind.. but your post reminded me of something else. A while back, carbonize started an excellent thread on dropshippers. (explanation of term below)
