Sounds like another twist on the infamous
Nicaraguan scam to me. My WINNING numbers changed...

Yep, this is another old scam, sadly there are some people out there that will fall for it.

But seriously it is a form of sting and is illegal, cases should be reported to your ISP, their ISP, and the relevant police authorities-see scamorama for details.
Even after the dot.con flop there still are some people out there who believe there is such a thing as free money, who's combination of stupidity and greed blinker them from the fact they are being conned big time.

There seem to be a lot of these around...here is an almost identically worded one, only the addresses etc are different, got this a few weeks ago and thought I'd keep it an see if I heard of any more strange e-mails...as people keep saying, you rarely get something for nothing, so I knew it was a bit suspicious!!!

Fair point, I concede that a lack of experince of the internet may lead to confusion in some cases. But common sense and a limited knowledge of world geography and law should point out that when a complete stranger offers you shed loads of cash for absolutely nothing there must be a catch somewhere- or maybe I'm just a little to cynical and should embrace the fact that Father Christmas and the elfs do exists.
