Hi guys, Do you think eBidmax has a chance in the Online auction industry because they are offering sellers no listing fees and no final value fees.
This is an open Discussion. Please tell us what you think. http://www.ebidmax.com |

no, i feel it will be hard for them to gain trust from the wiery paranoid inet community.
ebay is the grandfather of the auctions.. plus they own paypal. #1 method of payment on ebay. And they have a good marketing campaign.

IMO, As much as I would like to see a site that could compete with ebay I dont think it is even in the realm of possibility.
First off Ebay already has thousands, or millions of users, and paypal which is integrated into ebay has thousands of users. These two systems combined make ebay untouchable. Ebay also has so many independant developers and everyone knows about ebay. Essentially there is no reason for anyone to even try somewhere else. Ebay's system works. Its not perfect, but its good enough for people to stick with it. There are thousands if not millions of users, so your item will be seen on ebay. Who knows about some other auction site. I personally dont think that even a great campain could bring another auction site anywhere close to the size of ebay. It would have to offer something completely unique, and Im not even sure what that could be. There are a ton of other auction sites out there, and nothing has been even close to touching ebay. |

On the contrary ebay owns PayPal whom are right in the finacial ****. Millions of claims are now lodged against PayPal for freezing accounts and siezing the funds with no good reason and now even their own staff are giving legal information to claimants lawyers. Check out http://www.paypalwarning.com just one of many sites publishing a few of the horror stories.
If a bubble gets too big, its goes with a bigger bang. |
