I was really excited to find this information.
I am just starting out dropshipping.
My advice is keep an open mind but research the dropship company first.
I naively sent a money wire to and now cant get in touch with a real person or get any answers on where my money is. Could anyone give me advice on how to get my money back in this type of situation?

Also a warning, the company is Netdropshippers...DO NOT use them! Unfortunately I did my homework after the fact & found there are a lot of complaints out there about these guys.
Thanks!

Default I'm looking for battery dropshippers

Hello,

Does anyone know of a few good battery dropshippers? Specially for camera and laptops. I seem to have found on the middle man. The price is much too high to be wholesale.

I compare the price with overstock.com. If the price is much higher, there are too much markups. Is this a good comparison?

TIA.

Chris

Default Read them all but looking for finer quality

Ok, while I do appreciate the huge list of dropshipper links, I am frustrated after having gone through them all. I don't want to simply be a dollar store or stuck selling off brand items. Rather, I would like to sell higer-end items and quality watches and jewelry. Not watches that have "bling" in their title.

Does anyone know of good sources for these types of items and true wholesale books? [There is enough money out there for everyone.]

John

Default Best Dropshipper

www.dropship4free.com

I have been using this site for 2 years to sell and to buy. Even the the top products, like the Xbox Premium System are way below the prices anywhere else that I've seen. Check them out, I've been trying to pass the good word about this site ever since I started to use it.

Default Quite a list! Here's a few more

www.cathysconcepts.com
www.guidecraft.com
www.olivkids.com

Many of these I use on www.suzie-homemaker.com

There are A LOT of fake drop shippers so watch out. I noticed somebody listed CWR Electronics. I have to tell you, I got all of their materials and they have a $100 membership fee (which is always a bad sign). Before sending it in, I looked up their prices and compared to retail online. They are doing nothing more than giving you 5-10% off IF THAT. In fact, many of their "wholesale" prices were HIGHER than retail on Amazon.com. I contacted them about this and got no response.

Also, SNEDCO is not a real dropshipper. His products are coming from Speciality Merchandise Corporation www.smcorp.com and he is "appearing" to be the real dropshipper as MANY smc foke are. I like the SMC line, but be careful. There is A LOT of competition so be ready to sell your items for only a 15% markup in many cases. You never get the 50-75% (or more) that SMC advertises cause the market is saturated with SMC sales.

There's my 2 cents for the day.

Happy Sales All!

By the way,
I LOVE Worldwide Brands and the Dropship Source Directory and NO I am not affiliated with them or get paid for mentioning them. Buying the login to the directory was the BEST thing I did last year. Many quality drop shippers are on that site.

IMHO, you Do Not want to deal with anyone that expects a start up or monthly fee as part of their program. If they really have anything to offer, they will do it with no membership fee's.

Here are two brand name fragrance sites that I have been using for years. They Do Not have a memership fee.

FragranceNet Wholesale : They provide a price list but, you will need to get the images yourself. I use FragranceNet.com as my stand by. They Do Not charge a membership fee [or drop shipping fee].

http://www.fragrancenet.com/f/net/welcome.html?mv_pc=

FragranceX.com : This is my number one supplier. Prices are usually lower and stock is usually plentiful. Again, they Do Not charge a membership fee [or drop shipping fee] and provide you with a price list [for Excel] and allow you to link to their images. There is also an Easy Populate file available for those using Cre Loaded, My Supreme Cart and osCommerce which you can get at inventorysource.com for $25 per month [provided by inventorysource.com].

http://www.fragrancex.com/customerse...ale_login.aspx

InventorySource.com is also a great way to sell a variety of products, with no member fees, and get the Easy Populate file.

http://www.inventorysource.com

If you want to get into the "Alternative Fragrances," I have another source for you. Designer Fragrances, Inc. Some consider alternatives "knock offs."

They Do Not charge a membership fee [or drop shipping fee]. They have two types of alternative fragrances available at $2 [regular] and $5 [extra strength]. Good source for flea market merchandise sales. I used them before and made as much as $17.95 per bottle on the regular scents alone!

http://www.designerfragrancesinc.com/

I am sure there are those that will disagree with me as far as the member and monthly fee thing goes but again, if they really had anything to offer, they would not need to charge. I have dealt with companies that have charged fees and you get nothing but access and the cheaper prices. There are a slew of places around that will allow you the access and not charge you the fee's but, you do have to look around.

There are product sourcing services like doba.com or simplx.com that do charge fee's. Product sourcing companies do not stock the merchandise but provide you access to sometimes hundreds of different supplies, can hep reduce drop shipping/shipping fee's etc. However, you are getting much more than most will ever consider giving to you... not to mention that each site offers access to more than 750,000 products.

And DO NOT PAY for "wholesale lists" as they are compiled junk.

Default Re: Best Dropshipper

Is this your site?

I checked a few of their products and this is what I found.

Disney Classic Tv/dvd Combo [Item #: TVDVDCOMBO
Your Price: $172.35

On Froogle, I found 7 sites that sell it for less than the listed price.

Limited Edition Pink V3 Bluetooth Combo + Car Charger [Item #: PINKBUNDLE]
Your Price: $270.58

On Froogle, I found 21 sites selling it for less than the listed price.

IMHO, dropship4free.com is a retailer that sells below MSRP.

There are plenty of sites that suggest that they wholesale products... but they just do not. Most retailers never sell at MSRP and to give a discount off MSRP that is comparable to other places selling for the same price, or lower, is not a deal.

mcswainp asked how to get the ball rolling. Start by picking your product(s) then, search around the Internet for places that truly sell at wholesale and don't charge a memer fee. Check Trade websites before one of those sites that list "wholesalers" or "drop shippers" as most of the companies listed are not selling much lower than retail anyway and you usually can get products cheaper on eBay or at Walmart.

Most reputable companies are happy enough with your business that they do not need to charge you a monthly fee.

neverlandmall mentioned SMC which, IMO, is one of the biggest scams around. As stated, they blind market their program, saturating the TV air waves with their get rich quick scheme. Most people get so excited that they drop down the $400, and before the realize just how bad it is, its too late to get a refund.

Terry [Vice President? at SMC] states they need to put out so many infomercials to keep the memerships at a certain level... are they in business to sell memberships or products that you can sell for profit [you will never get the whopping 300% on any of the products they sell]? Just about everyone can pick out an SMC product from a mile away which does nothing for anyone trying to make any money with their "program" or from their Chinese imports. My advice, stay away from SMC.

I think SMC's real goal is to get as many people as possible to purchase the [almost] $400 memership package and one of their $3000 ecommerce websites, which they advertise their program on [for free!], so they can rake in an unbelieveable $30 a month for hosting/maintenance fee's.

You will probably seen people trying to sell lists for about $30/£30 or there abouts. So I say stuff them. If you use a dropshipper or, even better, have access to any lists of dropshippers then post them in here for others to share.

hi,
i am new to this forum and is my first posting,
lots of great info here, thanks to you all!
however i am in the uk and the vast majority of these are for US wholesalers, i have only recently started selling on ebay using a dropshipper called ATS Distrubtion, cost me £40 (about $75) to sign up but once i started looking at stuff to sell i noticed that they hadnt added vat and even charge vat on postage which is disgusting!!! so i cant make much money at all, hence i have not sold anything yet!
can anyone give me a list of uk dropshippers that dont want a start up fee? any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Default Unreliable dropshipper Tatiana

I only ventured into the possibility of dropshipping from an international ( read US ) dropshipper once and got my fingers burnt

I sent a small amount of money for a CD of images to use in dropshipping to a company who supposedly would ship to australia and had some very specific items I wanted to incorporate into my store. The CD did not arrive, when I contacted the company they said they would sent another promptly. This arrived well packaged and I was hopeful only to find the CD was completely blank.

Needless to say I cannot use this supplier - Like the UK poster mentioned, as an Aussie retailer I have a legal contract with the customer and must carry expensive product and public liability insurance. The buck ends with me, which is where I have a problem with ebay where many people jump in and dabble with non of the insurances and registrations they should legally carry thus undercutting legitimate retailers.

The advantage of dropship directories (not all but the main ones) is that they verify the legitimacy of suppliers. You should never pay to use a dropshipper unless it is a dropshipping gatherer who buys in bulk from wholesalers to offer a dropshipping service.

As a provider of directory services I might be bias, but we never stop receiving testimonials thanking us for the contacts and service we provide, and that's because all suppliers go through a strict verification process, whether they advertise on our sites or not. Also having a dedicated community helps report any wrongdoings in a matter of days, plus due to the strong ties we have with trading standards and the courts we are able to resolve any issues for our members very speedily, however rarely they occur.

Many will say there are plenty of free portals out there, my opinion is you are less likely to lose a hanging rolex in Naples or Nigeria than getting scammed in the large trade portals which offer free access. After all you are paying for a service, and that's what you get.

Most of products I've seen that dropshippers provide are brickabrack stuff or are items that you can find cheaper at somewhere like harborfreight...
Looking for someone like cafepress that doesn't take a big cut of the profits.
