Verizon: The King Of Local Search?
SuperPages, Verizon's online phonebook, announced a March 1st redesign launch. In addition to their new look they also plan to launch a new pay-per-click product for advertisers interested in local markets.
Their December partnership with FindWhat supplied the technology necessary to sell and serve these ads to searchers.
This move allows Verizon to sell online ads to small businesses without websites.
Industry experts wonder, however, if Verizon's localized search can break searchers of their Google and Yahoo! habit.
