Vertical Search Is Where It's At

Okay, so this article of mine rambles a bit. My long-overdue vacation begins tomorrow (woo-hoo!)...cept, I'll be torturing myself with the finer points of writing in grad school for 12-hours a day during my vacation...ho hum...vacation's for the old isn't it?

Anyway, I chatted up the folks at Healthline.com because I thought it was really interesting how their search results include vetted medical articles written or approved by doctors so you're sure to get a qualified response to your query.

When all the dust settles on this search business, expect these niche sites to rise up out of it...unless Google and the others make serious strides in relevancy.

But note also a BBC article link from 2004, a badge of slightly dated information, which isn't exactly what a medical researcher wants.

just that the article is 2 years old, and hence, outdated
