Default Craigslist Readies Job Fee In Four Cities

"Who needs the money? We don't really care," Craig Newmark said in an interview at the Picnic '06 Cross Media Week conference here.

"If you're living comfortably, what's the point of having more?"

The Boston, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington DC markets will have to pay for placement of job ads on their local Craigslist sites beginning October 22nd. If it cuts out the junk and MLM postings, a $25 fee per posting is a nominal cost for a legitimate employer to pay.
