Bosses know that this will reduce your productivity, but more than that, they don't want the sleaze factor showing up at work and they know that other people will see it too. Such things can and do end up in harrassement lawsuits.

12. Avoid AOL chat. I've known of at least 2 instances where the buddy list was left live and while working with the boss at their desks, very inappropriate work message were dlivered.
