Default I Search Naked For 25 Cents

As if! Psyche. A new search engine was launched today called iSearchNaked.com, a name, no doubt, designed to shamelessly get your attention. If the name doesn’t do it for you, search marketers, then maybe the introductory keyword price of 25 cents per month will.

In the coming months, the search engine will add new user features like the iShopNaked Store, iSrchNkd News, and the iSrchNkd Directory.

It is still a bit bare boned, without near the functionality of the big boys, and it seems especially strange that an engine with such a provocative name would lack an image search. But it’s a newborn and we should probably cut it some slack.

What’s most eye-catching about the startup, however, is the top sponsored keyword search results can be purchased for a fixed introductory rate of just 25 cents ($2.00 minimum total purchase). That quarter dollar doesn’t give the advertiser exclusivity, though.

“For each keyword or search term, twelve sponsored listings are displayed on every page of the search results. With each search for any given keyword, the first twelve (12) sponsored listings rotate their position (1 to 12) randomly. Therefore, if your listing is among the top 12 advertisers, your keyword or phrase will be rotated into first position, on average, once every 12 searches,” reads the FAQ of the site.

No guarantee of position, but what do you expect for two bits? The new search engine also retains the right to raise the cost of the keywords at any time.

Why a fixed rate? iSearchNaked’s founder and president David Hytken says it’s their way of combating click fraud.

"Our search engine eliminates the costs of fraudulent clicks, permitting the advertiser to know precisely what their monthly advertising costs will be," said Hytken.

And the name?

"We know it is unusual, but it's distinctive and easy to remember,” said Hytken.

Indeed it is.

very slow website. takes forever - i think they actually take results from other search engines and serve it out as it is taking so long to pull up- or maybe the startup is low on resources.
but a good job nevertheless.

Does that mean we'll get another Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction commercial" from these guys starring a pornstar?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd really rather not see a Ron Jeremy nip slip.
