What is the best part of these Search Engine Strategies conferences? Is it the all of the helpful business information? Maybe it is the awesome parties.
The big parties and probably the most anticipated ones, are the Google Dance, the Yahoo Search Night Off, and the Ask Jeeves "Dan Band" Opening Night Bash.
These parties are highlighted in a post by Danny Sullivan at the
blog for Search Engine Strategies, which also points to other
special events going down in San Jose next week.
The Google Dance, which is named after the monthly updates Google used to do, will offer plenty of drinks, music, and old-fashioned good fun.
This year's Google Dance will also offer guests the opportunity to ask questions to the Google Engineers. Its going down Tuesday 08/09.
Yahoo is taking their "
Night Off" on Monday, the 8th. This will be a night at Paramount's Great America amusement park. If you make it to this, I wouldn't recommend drinking too much before riding the roller coasters.
Ask Jeeves is providing a rare treat for their
big bash. After booking American Idol reject William Hung last year, they're taking it up a notch this year and presenting the Dan Band, who was made famous for their performance in the hit movie "Old School". (They were the wedding band in case you didn't know.) This party is taking place on the 8th as well, after the Yahoo event.
It sounds like SES is going to be a blast this year. Just don't forget that it's not all fun and games. There's sure to be a great deal of quality information to come from it as well.
