alright im busy in the middle of redesigning my site and i was wondering wat would get more ppl on my site haveing a really neat and tidy website with colours like blue and beige or make it dark and gloomy to attract the new comers to the sport that my site is set on, the dark colours i would use are black and blue.
but which one because ts already black and blue just should i change it and would it be for the better or not ( the site is www.ukskate.tk if you want to see the old style, dark and gloomy) |

You could do something like a grey and maroon which would still allow you to do the dreary look without being completely doom and gloom.
There are a lot of sites out there that allow you to experiment with color schemes -- do a google for web color schemes. I like this one... http://www.visibone.com/colorlab/ Just mt 2 cents. Gary D |

Neat and tidy?
Skaters are not neat or tidy. I would make it edgy, hardcore, punk rock. I'd use distorted fonts and torn edges, spray paint like fonts. I would throw in background images that reflect the lifestyles of a real hardcore skater, masonite, old plywood, broken kingpins, steel coping, worn down curbs and metal etc. Maybe make the horizontal nav an image of some worn down coping or a curb. Ive been skating since 76, so I dig the old school style. But I dont think any skaters are attracted to "neat and tidy" themes. Good luck though. checkout: http://www.sonyclassics.com/dogtown/
