Default Halloween Contest

Ever since that infamous Photoshop Contest, which featured our Site Admin Garrett, I knew the day would come when it would be my turn to suffer -- uhm, I mean, star in a contest as well.

Well, that day has finally arrived.

Halloween is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than with... a graphic design contest!

The story: It was a dark and stormy night... oops, wait, wrong story!

Our story goes like this: I was having a bit of a tough time trying to decide what my Halloween costume should be this year, so my office mate, whom you all know as jScott_Harris, decided to help me out by creating this creepy image:

Although it kind of looks like me when I first wake up in the mornings, it's actually Scott's depiction of me as Storm, my favorite character from the X-Men.

(He would've turned me into Gollum, but we figured that would be a bit TOO scary!)

WebProWorld Members, do you think you can top that? If so, we'd like to see YOUR ideas!

The same rules apply as before:

1. All entries must follow the forum rules. Nothing obscene, offensive, or malicious. Nudity is a definite no-no, but killing kittens could be ok in the right context - just kidding, but you get my point.

2. You host your image. We'll never get anything up if we have to host all the images. To post your image in the forum simply paste the path to your image in you message body, highlight it and hit the button labeled "Img" in the post interface. it should come out looking like:

3. Feel free to comment on the images or post your ideas/suggestions, even if you don't want to enter the contest yourself

4. Submit as many times as you want -- there's no limit to the number of entries per person! Just have fun with it!

Deadline: You will have until October 30th to submit your masterpieces (or should I say, monsterpieces?)

Prize: What, you expect to win something for this? Oh, all right, the winner will have his/her site featured on Page One of WebProWorld as well as in the newsletter.

Just remember: Don't be mean or vulgar -- it's all for the sake of fun! :)

Default The Dark Side of Poppy

This is Poppy
All these images are under full titled copyright, but enjoy them anyway.

<Edit: I think you were a bit confused about the contest! The object is to use the photo provided at the top of this thread, and transform it into something else. While you can't enter images of Poppy in this contest, you can feel free to post them in the Member Photos section, or you can start a Halloween Images Thread, and allow others to contribute to it. Sorry about the confusion! - Brittany, Forum Host>

Now, this in no way implies that I think Brittany should go to a Halloween party naked. No, it doesn't imply that at all. Yeah, that's the ticket...

Default Halloween Contest

Tertius,

LOL I didn't even notice this thread until just now...

I couldn't decide which entry I liked best (they were all too good!) so I conducted a poll of iEntry staff members, and PaulHiles' "Anger Management" post beat out tejomon's blue ghost by a hair.

All the entries were fantastic, and you can feel free to continue submitting creations just for the sake of fun throughout the day, if you want.
You are all welcome to comment on the 'costumes' and pick your own favorites if you like.

Default And the Winner Is...

Well, there were so many entries (some flattering, some kinda creepy) that I couldn't decide on ONE official winner. So a few of my co-workers (Scott, JP, and some other iEntry staff members) helped me out by casting their votes for the top 'costume' submissions.

There were more than a few favorites, and it was a close call, but in the end, the decided winner was: PaulHiles's "Anger Management" submission.

You've gotta love a guy who can turn my photo into this:

Congratulations, Paul!

WebProWorld Members, you can still feel free to comment on your favorites and submit entries just for fun (you won't win anything, though).

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Happy Halloween!

Brittany

Britany,
I think you made a mistake in selecting winner.Y dont u give the marks to the halloween theme? But i think that " half brittany -blue ghost- in white dress" deserves the prize. Its the real taste of a witch(even if it is not). You hadchecked only the expertise in graphics.Any congrats the winner.
