Template OS and Browsers Compatibility Test
I am working on the the redesign of my web site, and I have prepared a template (page), which I would like to have it to be tested in diverse Browsers of diverse Operating Systems, e.t.c
Would you please check and make you comments, including OS, Browser(s) and their versions?

Thank you very much for your help!

That page looks familiar, lol. I'm at work so limited to IE 5.5 on Windows 2000 at 800x600 but it looks fine there, will check on Opera 7.20 and Mozilla Firebird 0.7 on XP at 1024x768 when I get home. Question is did you fix the positioning bugs you had?

It came up fine for me. I'm on XP and internet 6.0. It loaded fast. I had no problems with it.

Apart from some spacing differences it looks fine in Opera 7.21 and Firebird 0.7 on Xp at 1024x768.

Hi Webnauts,
I had similar results to those of carbonize, page looked pretty consistent on IE 6, Firebird 0.6, Opera 7.1 on Win2000 at 1024 x 768.
Only exception was when viewed on IE 5.1 on a G3Mac, where the top 'banner' navigation links appeared hard left directly on top of the logo image. G3Mac is running OS 9.1. I don't imagine this would be a problem with newer Macs running OS X and Safari.

Very true carbonize! Though I deliberately downloaded the stable release of Firebird, as I didn't want to sign up for the beta testing program! LOL!! :c) Got to say though, I'm very impressed with it (Firebird) so far!

Firebird 0.7 is now a milestone release and not a nightly. And if you use Firebird you have to get the Web Developor and the Checky plugins as I find them invaluable for checking my work as well as for locating errors in other peoples sites. Also get the CSS editor extension that lets you edit a sites CSS live!
Yoou don't need to sign up to anything to get the beta Firebirds, just click the nightly builds link.

Hi carbonize,
I'm already using the PNH Developer plugin, and I'm really impressed.. I'll take your advice and download the CSS extension as well as updating my current version of Firebird.
The Checky plugin also sounds like a 'must-have' for anyone doing a site review! :c)
Cheers for the tips!

Actually I said the Web Developer extension :op The PNH extension seems to be a poor copy of it from what I can see.

Hi carbonize,
Updated Firebird, installed the Checky, CSS and Web Developer extensions, which as you rightly point out are invaluable!
Brilliant tools! How did we ever manage without them? :c)
One further question; do Mozilla offer online updates for Firebird? or do you have to download the full program each time a new version is released?
