Have you ever seen that annoying channel on TV that sells old lady clothes and panties. Well that annoying channel I am talking about is QVC. You know, "the home shopping channel".
Well, I seen on their web site that they are looking to hire a good web and graphics designer. If you think your graphic designing abilities are top notch, then I would advise checking out QVC.com and submitting your resume and application to them. Starting pay is fairly well. Sound like a good place to start for some. Here's the link to their job posting: link ################################################## ### Description QVCs Broadcast Graphic Department has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Graphic Designer at our Studio Park location. The successful candidate will use the latest computer technology to create graphic support materials and animations for post production and QVCs live broadcast. Conceives and creates broadcast quality graphics using available computer based programs. Responsible for collaborating with Video Producers, TV Sales, Video Editors and Promo Producers on graphic needs for promos, show opens, stings, power promos, specialized presentations, and seasonal and holiday graphics. Responsible for coordinating with the Graphics Supervisor and Graphics Manager with respect to creative continuity of QVCs corporate branding standards, including composition and design, color, compositing and animations. Qualifications & Requirements B.A. in Graphics Arts, Graphic Design, Art or related field. Completion of Trade or Technical program in related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience required. Minimum 3-5 years experience as a graphic artist or graphic designer required, along with a background in typography design essential. Experience in motion design for television, design for print and interactive communications is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in 3D animation programs is highly desirable. Completion of 3D training (3DStudio max or Maya) is desirable and strong Adobe After Effects experience is required. Experience with MAC & PC. Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, 3-D programs MAYA or 3D Studio Max and all accompanying support programs is required. Experience with VIZ RT Graphics display systems desired. Understanding of video production, competency in operating videotape decks, video printers and familiarity with broadcast legal colors and standards. Strong typography design and background preferred. ################################################## ### |
