New site design

Have an idea for a new style trading card site.This to include
1. An auction(php)
2 Trading floor
3 blogs
4 forums
5 Pricing guides for most trading cards
Would i be wise to use a CMS and fold all these in?
Should some things be kept out and linked to
Are "rss feeds" good or should i stay away from them
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated
