Finding Photos for Online Gallery

Hi, we are creating a new Social Network / Knowledgebase website for our sister company. (Quick background our sister company has a line of DIY lawn care and flower products). I would like to add a gallery to our website where users can submit photos. However, I would like to add some photos to each gallery before it goes live. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I should go about implementing this: where can I find photos free or purchase where I won't impede on any restrictions for using them in my gallery. We are looking for photos of gardening, landscaping, flowers, green homes, etc. Thank you very much for your help!

JupiterWeb networks - silently popping up everywhere and my impression is that the company have good sites and resources.

Neither BigStockPhoto.com or iStockphoto.com is free, but their use fees are quite low and affordable, and they have great selections of photos.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I did check out some of the sites listed and to put together a gallery I am going to need a lot of photos. On the free sites many of the photos had their own restrictions where you had to contact them and put a link back to them. That would take a while to do...So I contacted a few photo places and Photos.com said that I could purchase photos for my online album. I just have to use the 72 dpi photos and not allow them for download or anything. I think I am going to try that out. Thank you for all of the great suggestions. I am going to keep in mind the other sites for smaller projects when I need only a couple images.

I have seen (online and in stores) CD's and CD Collections with tons of royalty free photos at a low price. I remember years ago, we bought a package of 10 CD's packed with royalty free images for $39.95.

Not free, but cheap enough, high resolution (you can even crop interesting landscaping from images intended for something else), and no royalties, contracts, or links back.
