And also consider what kind of image you wish to display. For instance, you might want to appear futuristic, edgy, comfortable, trustworthy, eco-friendly, etc. Your logo helps define your image.

Good write up!
People tend to forget or even totally ignore the KISS (keep it simple, stupid) rule when creating a logo. As a result, the brand ambassador of their company looks cluttered and a potpourri of different art styles.

It pays to have a professional working on your company's logo. They sure know of variables to consider in making the logo vis-a-vis the corporate identity and branding image you want to project through it.

Design your logo for all media!

I have a printing company, and I can't believe the amount of people who have logos from websites that they now want to use for print. Create your design with the intentions of becoming famous allow your design to work in all medias, printing, faxing, T- shirts/promotional.

Printing requires a logo at 300 dpi size as, web work is only 72dpi, so if your logo is 3 inches wide on screen it will only have the quality to print at less than an inch

One tip that I have picked up over the years: When designing your logo, print it out and see if it still looks good in black and white. Fax machines (and some printers) still print out in black and white.

Otherwise great piece!

Hi Sushil

I saw a client a couple of weeks ago who made his logo with MS Paint. It was basic but with some know-how, it should be OK.
