Window Opens When A Link Is Moused Over, But With A Twist

Hello.

I have links in my site that opens a new window when you mouse over it. But, I'd like to have it open from the center out. Sort of like unwrapping a wad of paper, if you would, but not actually like that.

Some call it an "exploding window."

Does anybody know how to do this, or a site that has something like this?

I've seen it done on a few gaming web sites, especially for image galleries. Check out the image gallery on worldofwarcraft.com, and the screenshot galleries at curse.com.

Perhaps integrating flash into your website code could produce such an effect. Its a basi animation but the integration might take a bit of researching..

Granted, in that case, the image must be clicked. That effect is done completely through javascript.
