I always seem to have problem resizing my images. I saw sites like apple.com, they use many images of high quality that loads with high speed, yet my images took a long time to load.
I tried to check their images size, even those big images with high graphic quality. It has a very small size. How was it done? |

You have to optimize the images for the web. This can be done using programs like Photoshop. There are also many free programs that you could use.
You could check out the following for some tips: Optimising Images | optimization: optimizing graphics for the web using gifs and jpgs || HTMLSource ] and Optimizing images for web | Adobe Photoshop tutorials | In obscuro |

Hi Guys, you can paint also.Open them in MS Paint start/run/mspaint <enter>
At the top of Paint, click Image, then Stretch / Skew.Any value that you put in Under 100 will shrink the image size, and any value that you put in over 100 will enlarge the image size. or Upload them into photobucket and then you can choose to make them an avatar size, thumbnail, website, message board, or bigger! Or you can resize them in photoshop. |

Obtain a copy of Advanced JPEG Compressor or Interactive JPEG Optimiser.
They are superb tools for doing this job and give other benefits too that may be of use to you. Quick and easy and no complex manipulation required or special knowledge needed.

Dude,
Sumati's method is better. Even i got the same problem when i hosted my website with the images in it of large sizes and high quality ones. It took a long time to load the website. When asked, I was told that optimising images is the best solution for this. No special tools needed for this anyway. Just an MS Paint would suffice. Just open them in Paint and skew. |

For me, Macromedia Fireworks is the only way to go. It gives you far better control of the quality of your image, and lets you try different configurations on the fly and previews the results. It lets YOU decide how much optimization you want to use.
Just my 2cents.
