Where do i put my blog site

I have a discount shopping site and a blog site giving quick reference to all the discounts on the main site.

Where is the best place to put the blog site, it is currently a sub domain

blog.discounthypermarket.com

I want the blog to help in deep linking and to promote my main site.

If you want the blog to help with your deep linking, you should put the blog on another system (ie: Blogger.com). You'll still get plenty of benefits from having the blog on your existing site (content, internal links, etc.), but if your strategy is to improve your deep linking, the blog should be hosted elsewhere.
