Default Spry text input widget

Has anyone here played around with Spry?

I'm trying to figure out how to add a 'remaining character' counter to a text input field (I already figured out how to do it to the textarea thanks to Dreamweaver).

Any suggestions?

If I understood this right all you need to do is to add the same name attribute as in the textarea to the input field along with the onKeyDown and onKeyUp code you see in the textarea and you are done. This only if you plan to replace the textarea with the input field. If you want a textarea as well as an input field with the 'remaining character' counter you will have to add a different name to the input and change the JS code accordingly.
