Default Charting in the big league!

Lately the biggies in industries have started using Flash charts – look at Google Finance and Yahoo! Finance. The usability of Flash to render charts at client side was expected to be realized by all someday! Now, that the ball has started rolling, we have to modify our own web apps to cope with the change.

For the sake of web developers world wide, InfoSoft Global has released FusionCharts Free so that not a single entity remains out of this Flash Wave! FusionCharts does not require any specific system requirement and it is compatible with all the scripting languages like ASP, .NET, PHP, JSP, ColdFusion, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails etc. You can plot data over the charts in run time or can pull data from any database that you prefer. (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MySQL, FileMaker etc)

The best thing about FusionCharts Free is, unlike traditional image based charting, here the chart is rendered at client side and the load on your server is least. Server streams out pre-copied .swf file and XML data files to the browser and Flash Player takes these inputs to display the chart in the browser.

Using different cosmetic properties, you can make the charts visually suitable for your website. FusionCharts Free offers 20 different chart types which can be added with interactive features like drill down option, tool-tips easily.

FusionCharts has a commercial version also which offers even better charting experience. According to me this web tool has the power to make you a tough contender for the online giants when it comes to flash charts and graphs.

Yahoo! Finance charts are cool, they have got a user-guide to understand the charts better. Has anyone tried it?
