Favicon

[Curve Appeal]

Just was wondering if a having a favicon is a good or bad idea. One was included in my designing package, so I'd like to know the pros/cons.

I feel the more custom a site looks the better. I like to have custom favicons on all my sites. I don't know what a con of it would be???

Won't hurt, they are cute and provide a little design. However, I would not put much work into it, meaning they would be low on the priority list. Focus first on getting your product, message, and creating value for your customers. The favicon provides no value. Value first, fluff last.
