Just recently, I have completed some designs but they need to be watermarked. Can someone tell me the best way to do this? There is a funtion in Photoshop that can allow me to do this..Digimarc has the name of the artist/designer on file and if anyone steals the work, it can be traced. Do they charge a fee for this? Is this how the process works? Thanks in advance.

if you want to watermark your images, you can do so with any image editor that offers the text tool. after you get your image looking like you want, just write the watermark on top of it (as another layer) and reduce the text's opacity. like so:
Without the watermark: ![]() With watermark: ![]() all i did there was take my text tool and write "Property of iEntry.com" on the image and reduced the text's opacity to like 65%... nothing to it. |

To a determined thief, watermarking images is pointless as they can easily be removed. They just (maybe) deter the casual abuser.
