Default Resizing background image (CSS)

Hey,
I'm currently trying to make a flexible site layout, one that resizes when the text is being resized.
Can I stretch a background image? (css= "background-image"). It's easy to do it for images, as you just need to specify the width and the height of the image, but can't seem to find something similar for background images. Any idea?

It seems kind of strange, but no, there is no facility to stretch background images in css. You have to fake it by making it a foreground image in a layer (css="z-index") and then putting your other content in another layer on top.
