I have a problem with FrontPage 2000 publishing, which strips IDs from an unordered list. Background:
we have a dev and test site located on one server, and a production site on another server. Publish from dev to test works fine. Publish from test to production somehow removes ids from an unordered list in a page crucial for a top navigation frame. IT has verified both boxes have the EXACT same enviornment, operating system, patches, etc (boxes are all updated each weekend to ensure they are the same). I'm stumped. Where do I start in trying to solve this puzzle? excerpt of code from dev and test: <! -- TAB NAVIGATION LINKS DO NOT ADD ANYTHING ELSE TO THE BODY OF THIS PAGE --> <! -- TO ADD NEW TAB COPY AND PASTE LINE ITEM THEN CHANGE ID AND FILE NAME TO MATCH NEW ITEM AND FILE --> <! -- A NEW TAB FILE MUST BE CREATED AND ITS ID ADDED TO BODY TAG SEE tabEXAMPLE HTM -->

Home
HR
M&P
PR/PR.htm');" target="_blank">Payroll
Records
Systems
Tools
Redirects
Search
Help
excerpt of code from production site: <!

[*]Home[*]HR[*]PR/THDPR.htm');" target="_blank">Payroll[*]M&P[*]Records[*]Systems[*]Tools [*]Search[*]Redirects[*]Help
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
