Default Click-thru tracking for website links

There are plenty of ways to track the click-through rate of email links, but how can I track this on my web site?

I would like to track this in some detail, if possible. Let's say, even including the IP address or country of origin, etc. of the visitor who clicks on a link in addition to how many clicked on any given link and when. Any good ideas out there as to how to do this?

I did a S.E. search on that and came up with very little. I either got links to email tracking services/sites or Google ads pages (directories).

I am not sure if I understood what you need.
Maybe something like this? http://phpadsnew.com/two/

Thanks for your help, Webnauts. The principle is what I am looking for, but it is not exactly IT. The product you referred me to seems to be more geared to AdSense, Value Click advertising, etc. http://www.openads.org/quick-tour/op...r-revenue.html

I am looking to track conversions/click-throughs of my own text links and banners. I.E. A text link, which is an affiliate link within a sentence, the affiliate banner on a page or links to other web sites in the side menu panel, etc.

It seems to me I have seen something which does that before. If I remember correctly it did it in a virtual setting where you could even "watch" your visitors and "see" everything they did in real time, how they got there and more. But it's been a while since I saw it. Should have saved the link to that site. Has anyone else seen this and still have they link?

Any help is appreciated.

Well, if you were a programmer ...... LOL

This isn't that hard to do, just takes some programming. But it sounds like you want a ready built tool you can just plug in. Is that about the size of it?
