Default Problems floating a list, as well as some other issues!

Hi guys, I've got a couple of small problem with the floats being used on my site, but I can't quite work out where I'm going wrong.

#1 On the sites page I'd like for the content and navigation to be placed nicely alongside the image, but it's very reluctant to do so at the moment.

#2 On the development page the same list is causing me problems. I wasn't sure where to put it so wanted to float it inline with the text, again, not much luck!

While I'm at it, when you hover over the image link on the sites page there's a small grey border at the bottom which changes colour, which is obviously the same that I've set the a link css to, but I think even though it's a mistake it actually looks rather nice! ;-) Is there anyway to emphasise it and maybe make it a little thicker?

Thank you!

Default Confused....

OKay, now I'm just confused, the menus are not appearing the same way they did yesterday.

What is the way you really want them to look?

Ah yeah, I've pretty much fixed them now! The only problem is with Internet Explorer, in that they're for some reason getting a background colour, they're fine in Firefox though! :(

Default Css is always fun.

CSS is always fun. One thing I would suggest, is to actually help them stand out more from the text, and try and get a little seperation from the text.

But as you've discovered, the best remedy is trial and error. It's the best way to learn.
