Default css/html Basic Problem: White space appearing in IE

Hi, I have a web page with a small problem. Underneath the menu button in IE there is a tiny little piece of white space. Actually there are two but one of them is intentional. I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it.
Any help would be appreciated. You can see the page here - http://www.deadhippo.com/delete/index3.htm
You can see more details here - http://www.deadhippo.com/delete/delete.gif

Thanks

Typical IE :)

Looking at it quickly, I think some CSS may fix it. Maybe try padding-top or padding-bottom:0px or -5px to see what happens or margin-bottom:0px or -5px for that[*]

Hi, thanks for the reply. As a test I tried that fix. It worked for IE but unfortunately it worked for firefox too and the cell became smaller. Actually I don't want to use that fix anyway as I'm pretty sure minus margins are invalid css. Do you have any other ideas?

*edit: I found a solution at another board. It's so pathetic I though I better share it here for others that may come across the problem.
The fix was to move the <ul>

Code:
<div id="sidebar">[img]menu.gif[/img]
<ul>
to
Code:
<div id="sidebar">[img]menu.gif[/img]<ul>
