Pls Help in Theme Design

Hello,

I need help in PhpNuke theme design. I am expert an web designer with very good exposure of Flas, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HTML, DHTML etc and going to design a theme for PhpNuke but its my first theme project so I don't know what should I take care of..Is there any specific format in which I need to design or any specific files to edit..

I know how to design a website but dont know how I should do a PhpNuke skin..My client is using PhpNuke CMS and he needs me to design a theme to integrate with its existing site and forum..I will really thankful if anyone can help..

You would get much better advice on this topic by poking around in phpnuke docs and posting on their forum. Every php web ap's templating is different.

I would start by looking at other phpnuke themes to see how others have put them together. There are also a lot of tutorials that will point you in the right direction. Here is one such tutorial http://www.phpnukefiles.com/modules....=ThemeTutorial

Do a google search for phpnuke theme howto or somesuch and you should find what you;re looking for.

Just agreeing with krnl the nuke tutorial should give you the basic understanding of what is needed to do

also maybe take a look at Dispal Designs to get some ideas of what is possible with nuke templates

Download an existing skin and take a look at it. Depending on the version, you could have skins, containers, and style sheets that all tie together to create the whole.

I'm have a proposal out on a project like this now. If I get it, I'll do my design and hire someone to make the skin for me. (Cost effective to have someone else do it.)

Here's one of many sites I've found that offer this service. I've poked around on this site and downloaded the examples. Nina is also active in DNN forums.
