Let us say you upgrade to the newest Flash player (version seven). It may be because of
security concerns, or just because
everybody seems to be doing it. Anyway, you then discover what
Jeffrey Zeldman discovered, which is
player detection scripts don't anticipate other versions. You never know, Zeldman may be trying to get to your Flash site.

going scriptless. And there are
any number of very
nice scripts which are forward compatible.
