Default Please tell me how to set up forms on DreamWeaver MX

Hi,

I'm newbee, so i need help. I made a first site with DreamWeaver MX, and managed to figure out how to make a form on page, but i don't know how i can send the form to my email account. My host company offer an email form, but i'd like to use MX since i figured out how to make it.
Please tell me what to do.

Jai

Hello edwaerwon

As far as I know there is not a form handler in DreamWeaver. Below you will find 2 forms I have created in DreamweaverMX. I used a PERL script form handler in my cgi bin.

There are good free form handlers. Your hosting company has provided that one because they felt it was best or compliant with their systems.

I chose to use one though that was more powerful and configurable and therefore does not work with all hosting accounts.

You almost always have to go back and hand code either the mail script or your HTML document or both to get them to function properly together and achieve desired results.

Another consideration is -- If you don't use the one provided by the hosting company - They most likely will not support any problems incurred!

Hope this helps,
