This site is okay from what I can gather from Browser Cam in FF, Opera, Safari, and NS for the MAC.
I know it's okay in IE and FF for PC. www.johnsonglassandmirror.ca Unfortunately, it turns out like monkey butt (hi MuNKy) in IE for the MAC. Now I know IE for the MAC plays by its own set of rules, but is there any way to fix this? My client is the last surviving user with an IE for the MAC (although I'm going to try and get her to switch to Safari at the very least.) Thanks.

Hello Adam - Toronto
IE for the Mac uses an IE 4 core. Could seems incredible, but true. You can easily reproduce the issues (and therefore : correct them) on your PC by using an IE4 version. I have the same issue, one of my main clients also still uses IE on the Mac. Hence I use a special mod version of IE, which can be instantly installed/uninstalled on a PC together with any other newer official version. Should you need it, here is a link from my webserver : http://www.net-createurs.com/wpw/ie4_9x.zip Hope it will help (those '90 Mac users, finally, I like their way of life). JP

httpman,
1. Look at the Live Stats for this client's website and determine what (miniscule) percentage of vistors are using IE on a Mac. 2. Of course you already know the answer is one., your client. 3. Don't spend any energy making the website work with IE on a Mac. Find the page on Microsoft's website where they announce that IE on Mac is dead. Even MS says to switch to Safari: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/product...ternetexplorer 4. Spend your energy on getting your client to switch to Safari or Firefox. Turn her on to tabs. ,dave (Using Firefox on his Mac because it has AdBlock+.)

Adam,
I am working on a similar problem. Apparently my site was fine in Mac IE until I changed to a Suckerfish menu, and now it won't work at all. With a lot of help from Mac 5, I have narrowed the problem down a bit. If I completely remove the js IE fix, it still doesn't work, so it seems to be something about my css for my menu that the Mac doesn't like. Unfortunately, I am no closer to figuring out how to fix it! If I happen upon anything that may help you, I will be sure to pass it along. CiCi |

Apparently, there are some important differences in the way a page is displayed on a Mac and on a PC. For example, our website is showing exactly the way I want it on PC (using IE, Netscape, MOzilla, Firefox) but when viewed on a Mac, the font size changes and becomes soooo small when the cursor moves on the page that it is hardly readable.
Is this somehow similar to your problem for IE on Mac? Anyone knows how to fix this if it also happens on other browsers than IE on Mac? Thanks A.
