Hi.
I have a site that looks ok in IE, but not in FireFox. It validates ok. I put the pictures in a div, floated right. In firefox the pictures overhang the div. It could also be said that the background is defined by the length of the text. The page is http://www.sydney-web-design.com/fergusons/shopping.php I have a similar kind of problem with another short page (which I'll probably ditch), at http://www.sydney-web-design.com/fergusons/related.php where, because the background colour and column colour are dictated by the text section, they don't go down long enough. Is the standard answer to throw in a pile of to pad the text section down to the required length? I'm just going thru all the pages now to see if they validate before handing it over. My first paid site! |

I'm also wondering if I should put all the heading pictures into one or two big images, instead of the current 5, as it takes a while for all the images to load.
Especially as the column background colour is an image, and it usually appears last. I've never sliced or interlaced images before, but maybe I should do that, if I use one big heading. cheers Chris (Expecting a long hot summer in Oz. I got sunburnt on my feet on my first day at the beach this season, and it's still only Spring.) |
