Default Static Webpage Needs To Become A Blog Page - HELP(!) Please

I have a static webpage. It sits in the free webspace where my blog resides. I want to make that webpage "updateable" - that's to say I want to be able to make it a non-static webpage, with the ability to update the content in it. I.E. I want to convert the static webpage into a blog page.

Also, I want to keep virtually all the fixed content there, but want to insert a blogging code that will make the new content appear, say at the top of the page, and update when I blog again.

The static webpage is currently doing quite nicely in Google & Adsense, so I do not want to move it from where it is, or change it's URL address.

Any clues anyone?

p.s. Happy Easter

Thanks for that Shell - I'll give it a go.

At the moment I opted for an i-frame insertion and a link back to another Blogger blog which I update. So, it looks like I'm updating the static page, neat eh? (Unfortunately, a spidering Google will only recognise the update Blogger blog as being updated - and not my static page).

Have a another look, see what you think.

Default Blogger and Magpie solution

I've used a combination of a Blogger account and the MagpieRSS parser on a recent site. The client wanted something low cost (read free!) and easy to use. Their news page gets updated the minute they add anything to their blog, seems to work well. Check out the news page.

On the site's homepage, I'm using an iframe as a temporary solution (I've made the "item" links point to the News page). But what I really want is a perfectly normal .html page with updated content from the blog. My plan is to serve an index.php page as .html to get around this problem (using the RewriteRule in the .htaccess file)

Paul

PS. Here's a link I found really useful!

Thanks for that Paul (sorry I didn't reply sooner - the email notification thingy didn't tell me anyone elses had posted here).

I'll check out that final link, although I'll have to check with the webmaster of the place where my blog lives about uploading files etc.
