Hi - I have a design in mind, but I don't know if it can be done without using frames for the site. I made a 800 X 600 image as an example:
http://www.ididit.net/cbg3.jpg I want the 2 graphic images contained in the background to remain static, or fixed. I want text to scroll over the image on the right. I have no problem coding the images in HTML tables to appear where I want them, but I don't know if it's possible to have the fixed background with scrolling text in a table cell on the right. I also want to add some text and navigation across the bottom of the entire page - not just under the right image. This basic layout is often used on many blogs, and I know these sites are most often written with CSS, which I know very little of. Can anyone help me? Thanks much in advance. |

I've put http://stuff.tolranet.co.uk/wpw/ together quickly, I think that's what you were after, it's pure CSS. I'll delete it in a few days.
You will have problems with Opera (pre V7) and the scroll area not working, there might be more browsers that have issues but they currently escape me. The bit that does the scroll is 'overflow: auto' in #right |
